On the Internet, it's a small world with a big audience.
On the Internet be ready for a potential of 60,000,000 customers cruising
past your site on the web on any given day. Millions more are added each month.
Doing business over the Internet, whether locally
or internationally, may be different than your traditional storefront or office.
Laws sometimes change when you cross state or country borders. If in doubt seek an
attorney who is qualified in this area.
Location, Location, Location! In real estate
location is everything. On the Internet location is determined by the number
of search engines that register your site and how high the site is ranked within a
search. Register with as many search engines as possible and select key words that
will make your site standout when a customer searches for your product or service.
Use the tools of the trade! E-Mail, electronic
commerce, feedback forms, surveys, contests, sound effects and web based catalogs are just
a few of the tools available on the Internet.
E-Mail is the most commonly used tool on the Internet and
is far less expensive than the phone or conventional mail. Web
customers overwhelmingly prefer E-Mail. You can instantly send
information, orders, confirmations, etc. via E-Mail, all in writing. Be
sure to check your E-Mail often, at least twice daily, and respond promptly.
